The Alee Pirates are honored to be named Unit of the Year for the Alee Shriners, a prestigious award recognizing the dedication and hard work of our crew. This achievement reflects the commitment of every Pirate to our Temple, our fellowship, and the noble work of Shriners Children’s Hospital. We are proud to sail together and set the standard for excellence.

The Alee Pirate Unit donated more to our Children’s Hospital than any other unit, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to the noble cause and the mission of Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Larry Pawloski was awarded the Jerry Brannen Shriner of the Year Award, a prestigious honor recognizing his dedication and service to the Shrine. His commitment and hard work truly embody the spirit of a Shriner.

Chris Adams was recognized as Cabin Boy of the Year, an honor awarded for his dedication, enthusiasm, and hard work in support of the unit. His willingness to serve and positive attitude make him a valued member of the crew, and this recognition reflects the appreciation and respect of his fellow Pirates.

Bill Whiteman was recognized as Pirate of the Year, an honor that reflects his dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the Alee Pirates. His continued service and passion for the unit exemplify the true spirit of Pirate brotherhood.


John Kennedy Williams, IV, born May 19, 1951, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, passed away on December 28, 2025. He spent more than 60 years of his life in Richmond Hill, Georgia, where he became a well-known and deeply respected member of the community.
John retired as General Manager of Georgia Central Railroad after years of dedicated service. He was a proud member of Bryan Masonic Lodge #303, having joined in 1976, and became a Shriner in 2010 as a member of Alee Temple. He was also a member and past president of the Alee Pirate Unit.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2025 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.
Funeral services with Masonic Rites will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2025 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home.

Our dedicated referral coordinators will work with you to ensure that your patient is connected with the right medical team for their unique needs. Any child under 18 is eligible for care if the child’s condition is within the scope of services provided.
Most major insurance providers are accepted; however, insurance coverage is not required for care. Shriners Children's is pleased to provide care without regard to a family's ability to pay or insurance status
